When death occurs in a family, the Jamaat takes the responsibility of organising the funeral through the Ghusl and Kafan Committee. This includes transporting the Mayyit to the Husaini Islamic Centre, Ghusl, Kafan, Burial and Siyaka Majlis/Nyaz.

The only task left to the family is that of obtaining the Death and Burial Certificates and meeting the expenses.

As soon as a death has occurred, please inform the following:

* Jamaat Secretary for announcement of death, funeral and majlis programme, etc.

* Ghusl and Kafan Committee Member, Br. Hassan Damani on 01733 312933 or 07958 651494 for funeral related advice, organisation of burial plot, etc.

The Jamaat Secretary and Member of the Ghusl and Kafan Committee will assist you in any way possible. You are required to obtain two certificates (the Death Certificate and the Burial Certificate) without which burial cannot take place.
