On Sunday 3rd March 2013, Peterborough Husaini Islamic Centre was successful in holding a benchmark event that had been long awaited by all.
With the uncertainties of the future, not knowing what is to come, many a person gets lost in their travel due to lack of understanding of who they are and what they want in their building blocks of life. For this reason, Peterborough Husaini Islamic Centre held a Pre marriage Seminar.
Firstly we would like to thank the facilitators, Abbas Merali & Dr Mahmood Mawji, in delivering an eye opening and highly interactive seminar that was well enjoyed.
The seminar was well received by all. It was highly interactive with everyone deeply involved. The seminar consisted of a 5 step process in how to find your right spouse. The participants were made to think of what they wanted and take account of their actions. There was an exchange of views between the males and females so that both were able to understand each side’s points of view. There was also a real life interviewing process to equip both in what to expect and how best to approach the quest of searching for your spouse.

• The lecture was interactive which gave insights to other people’s opinion.
• I enjoyed the interactivity and the openness of the discussions.
• I liked the lecture and the discussions that took place. I think the interaction was good between brother Abbas and the audience.
• It was informal and interactive. It flowed and was not boring.
• Relevant topics and issues were raised. The participants were asked questions; they were pushed hard to really give thoughtful and deep answers
• A very good way of making us think for ourselves and to know what we want.
• Inspirational.
