This year the Husaini Islamic Centre distributed Christmas cards and chocolates to the neighbours around the centre on Star Road, Burton Street and Star Mews. The Christmas cards featured verses of the Holy Qur’an regarding Prophet Isa (a.s.) and were delivered alongside the chocolates by Brother Ali Salehi, who gave the following update after completing the task:
“Salaam ‘Alaykum.
It was a great pleasure to have the responsibility to write the Christmas cards and deliver them to our neighbours with a gift of chocolates. It was good to reach out to the neighbours of the mosque and have a friendly chat and see how they are doing. They were very impressed with the idea and very pleased to receive them at this festive time. They were particularly amazed by our determination as on the day the rain was pouring without abate.”
