A’azamallahu Ujurana Wa Ujurakum bi Musabina Imam al-Hussain (AS)
When a person gives in the way of Allah (SWT), the good deeds they accumulate from this action do not stop once they have died. One example is donating money to a mosque or a place where Islam is taught. So long as that mosque or place of Islamic Teachings is in operation that person who donated will continue to reap the rewards of that deed, even if they have been dead for a thousand years. This blessed deed is known as Sadaqa E Jariya.
Why Donate?
“The example of those who spend their possessions for the sake of Allah is that of a grain out of which grow seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains: for God grants manifold increase unto whom He wills; and Allah is all-embracing, all-knowing.”
[Surat al Baqarah, verse 261]
May we remember the call of Husain (as): ‘Is there anyone to help me?’
May we remember the cries of Sakina (as) ‘Alatash alatash’
May we remember the sacrifice of all 72 martyrs including 6 month little Ali Asghar (as)
May we remember the strength and patience of Bibi Zainab (as) and all the ladies
Labayk Ya Husain, Labayk Ya Husain, Labayk Ya Husain
This commemoration provides us with an opportunity to reflect, contemplate and develop a source of inspiration towards transformation and reformation in our day to day life and actions, taking lessons from the great mission of Imam Hussain (as).

There is no set amount when it comes to donations. Whatever you donate with the purest of heart will inshallah be accepted by The Almighty.
Some people may be embarrassed to donate because they feel that the amount they want to donate is too small, but a little donation is better than no donation at all. As Imam Ali (AS) has said in Nahjul Balagha:
“Do not feel ashamed if the amount of charity is small, because to refuse to give is an act of greater shame.”
