MKSI Peterborough’s Sports Club – Shia Sports in conjunction with Power League Peterborough would like to invite you proudly to our interfaith tournament Copa Del RIA. This inaugural interfaith tournament will be held at the Power League Stanground on Sunday 23rd June 2013.
For those who are unaware Shia Sports successfully received a £5,000 grant via a voting process from the Lloyds TSB Community Fund; one of the criteria for receiving this grant was to hold an interfaith sports event. The tournament is held in memory of Marhoom Roshan Abbas Ebrahim, Marhoom Imran Panjwani, Marhoom Syed Akber Shah and Marhoom Aqeel Munir. All proceeds from this tournament will go to the charity “Once upon a smile” which helps families who have lost children and children who have lost their parents.
Any players aged between 11 and 13 years old can apply to represent Shia Sports in this 5 a side tournament by contacting Br. Mohammed Ismail or by sending an email to shiasports@hotmail.co.uk.
