Peterborough Inter Faith Council held their annual children’s day service in Peterborough Cathedral on Friday 23rd November when approximately 350 people of all Faiths joined in a peace prayer led by 6 local schools who performed readings/hymns/prayers from each of the main Faith Groups.
Children from Peterborough Husaini Islamic Centre presented a wonderful recital on “ALLAH Knows”.
A collection at the Cathedral raised over £200 to go towards a Christmas dinner for the local homeless Charity, Peterborough Streets, on 18th December where 100 local homeless people will enjoy a 3 course lunch prepared cooked and served by members of the Inter Faith Council of which we the Peterborough Husaini Islamic Centre are members of.
