As you are all aware the majority of people in Gaza struggle against poverty on a daily basis. According to the United Nations Development Programme, 79% of people in Gaza live on less than $2 a day and the unemployment rate is approximately 45%.
In light of recent events and such statistics Husaini Youth have organised a street collection to take place in Peterborough city centre in aid of suffering civilians. It will Insha Allah take place on Saturday 29 December 2012 and will run from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
In order for this to be a success we need volunteers who can spare a few hours on that day to help collect money. Volunteers can be male or female and of all ages (although anyone under 16 will need to have a guardian with them).

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part and contributed in the recent auction and dessert sale at our centre. Alhamdulillah over £2,000 was raised for this worthy cause.
